Santiago Beédxe is a conceptual artist from México, now based in New York City, whose practice investigates the boundaries of photography, collective memory, and the ongoing realities of colonial violence. His work challenges perception and history, inviting viewers to confront how images shape identity, belonging, and power.
Santiago has studied within some of the most respected contemporary art programs in the region, including the MFA program at NYU, Centro Cultural Tlatelolco, Centro de Artes San Agustín (CaSa), Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), La Curtiduria, and Masterpeace México.
His work has been exhibited across Oaxaca, Mexico City, and Tijuana, as well as in galleries and cultural spaces throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Through an evolving multidisciplinary approach, Santiago continues to explore how photography can serve as both witness and resistance in the collective memory of Mexico and the broader Latin American experience.
